I recently got to craft with a young boy.
Together, we made this car out of construction paper:
It took us about 30-45 minutes to make
and as soon as it was done the boy looked at me and said,
"Can I smash it now?"
So, that was the story about the car.
Then he looked at me and said,
"Can we make a truck?"
So, we did.
But, having now realized that boys need something to DO with
their vehicles once they were made,
we gave the truck a lift-able rear cover so he could
fill the back with various cargo, haul the stuff around for a while,
then empty it and refill it with different stuff.
So the truck did not get smashed.
Well, at least not on that day anyway.
