Snowman Competition

We recently attended our town's
Snowman Competition

Snowman Building Competition
where we competed against four other
small towns in our state to see which of us
could build the most 4 ft.-or-taller snowmen
within a 2 hour time limit.

Here are some of the results.
Remember, folks, we were focused on
quantity, not quality.

Our SnowmenOur Snowmen
These were the snowmen Husband and I built.

Mr. and Mrs. Snowman
I know what you're thinking:
These are some pretty oddly shaped snowmen.

A Gaggle of Snowmen
And, you're right.
The town figured out that if everyone used garbage cans and
buckets as snowmen molds then all the snowmen would be sure to
measure the regulation 4ft. tall.
This also helped the building go faster.

Freestyle Snowman
Still, some deviated from the plan
and went freestyle on us.

Carrot Arm Snowman
We were sure our town would win
the trophy with 268 snowmen built
but, alas, we came in second place.

Swim Goggles Snowman
Oh well, there's always next year!

What fun winter events does your town do?

That's awesome! I wish my town did something like this. Perhaps I will have to suggest it! =) Very cute snowmen, I have never seen any made that way before.

Thanks! It was fun and kind of felt like we were in a TV show from the 1950's.

If you go to the snow angel World Record attempt with me next New Year's, we'll come over and help out with the snowman competition. Deal? Love you! Angie
